Prototypes of the Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle ready

Bajaj & Triumph are developing a range of motorcycles in the 250-700cc category.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed the launch of the first bike, co-developed by Bajaj and Triumph. The launch of the bike may have been pushed back, but its development seems to be back on track.

Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto, has stated that prototypes of the bike have been built. However, it has been difficult for the team to continue development work on these bikes due to the pandemic.

Initially, the plan was to launch the bikes in 2022. This has now been pushed forward to 2023, considering a delay of 6-9 months.

As we all know, Bajaj & Triumph are collaborating to develop a range of motorcycles in the 250-700cc category. The bikes will be produced at Bajaj Auto's new facility at Chakan, near Pune. Bikes from the KTM and Husqvarna brands will also be built at the factory that will come online in 2023.
