Bajaj Auto sets up a manufacturing unit in Manaus, Brazil

The Dominar range of bikes will be assembled at the factory in the initial phase.

Bajaj Auto has expanded its global footprint with the inauguration of a new manufacturing plant in Manaus, Brazil.

Bajaj Auto’s new facility is located at Av. Do Turismo, nº 13.529 - Bairro Tarumã. Spread over 9,600 sq mt., the plant is equipped with engine assembly, vehicle assembly and testing facilities. The production capacity of the plant is 20,000 units per year, operating on a single shift.

According to Bajaj, the Manaus factory has been designed with advanced, automated production lines and integrated quality control systems. There are multiple conveyor and transfer systems. It utilises the Protheus ERP system to streamline its manufacturing, supply chain management, finance and HR operations.

Construction on the Manaus plant began in June 2023. The Dominar range of bikes will be assembled at the factory in the initial phase.
