Pretty cool cars show up at an old muscle cars meet-up

Some of the vehicles included a late 1970s Chevy Silverado, a 1971 Plymouth Duster and a 1970 Corvette.

BHPian AKTransAM recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

We've been really lucky with the weather so far, and even this week has been fantastic. Unfortunately, starting tomorrow it looks like intermittent rain. Since it was really sunny and nice yesterday, another last-minute invite was sent out to the car group. Surprisingly, a bunch of folks showed up, since it was also a Friday evening, and everyone wanted to relax after the week with a drive. Starting tomorrow, with the exception of my cars and 2 other buddies' cars (which we drive all Summer regardless of rain) all of these cars will be under wraps again until we have another spell of sunny weather. Some pretty cool cars in this meet!

Late 70's Chevy Silverado square body with a 454 cubic inch big block engine making roughly around 650 hp. Thing was wild.

My buddy's 1971 Plymouth Duster that he rescued from a wet and sodden backyard where it had been sitting for 20 years at least. It had a slant 6 engine at the time, and now has an old Dodge 360 cubic inch V8 in it. He fixed all the structural rust (welded in new floor panels, trunk panels etc) but left the exterior as is since it was cool looking.

The cool Duster decal still on it

Cool old Buick. 4 doors, but still cool. Sounded great.

Front view of the Buick

My friend's immaculate 1970 Corvette with a 4-speed manual that he and his dad restored from the bottom up.

Frontal view. Beautiful lines

Engine in the Vette. 383 cubic inch stroker. This thing flies. I've sat in it multiple times, and it can spin the tires in 3rd gear.

Beautiful interior with a great dash gauge layout

An amazing 1970 Chevelle SS with a 454 cubic inch big block. This car has a neat history. Been in town since new. Was a complete rust heap rotting away in a trailer park when it was purchased by the current owner, who restored it completely in his garage. This thing sounds and looks amazing. And moves.

Very menacing front end when you see it in your rearview mirror

The cowl induction set up for more air for the engine
