Next-generation Hyundai Sonata caught undisguised in Korea

Pictures of the next-generation Hyundai Sonata have found their way to the internet.

The car is not wearing any camouflage in these pictures, which have been probably, taken at the Hyundai factory. The design of the new Sonata appears to be a lot more sober than the current version. The exterior of the car features a prominent, trapezoidal front grille, new front bumpers and large swept back headlamps. The car has cleaner body lines and a fastback-like rear end.

The Sonata is likely to be available with an option of two engines - 2.0-litre T-GDi turbo petrol and a 2.4-litre Theta II GDi. The car is expected to make its Korean debuted on March 24.

More details on the new Sonata are awaited.
