Next-gen Audi Q7 spied testing ahead of global unveil

The upcoming Q7 will take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and the Volvo XC90.

Audi is working on the new-generation Q7 SUV for the global markets. Ahead of the SUV's unveiling, expected sometime later this year, the new-generation Q7 was spotted undergoing testing in Europe.

The new third-generation iteration of the Audi Q7 comes almost a decade after the second-gen was launched back in 2015. However, the SUV has received multiple facelifts and updates over the years.

Being a new-gen version, the upcoming Q7 will feature a new design language, much bolder and more aggressive compared to the current model. This includes a new front grille, re-styled headlamps & LED DRLs, new clip-type door handles, a sharp and sporty tailgate and newly designed alloy wheels. The new-gen Audi Q7 could also feature larger proportions compared to the current model.

Inside as well, expect the new Q7 to receive significant updates, including a revamped dashboard layout with multiple large screens for the driver and passenger. Larger proportions will also translate to improved cabin space for passengers. The upcoming Q7 will come packed with tech and comfort features while featuring radars and sensors for the ADAS suite.

Powertrain options for the upcoming third-gen Audi Q7 are yet to be announced, but reports suggest petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options could be on offer. Once introduced, the Q7 will take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and the Volvo XC90.
