Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the second-generation Ertiga in India on November 21, 2018. These images of the new car beside the outgoing Ertiga give us a clearer look at all the changes that are made to the exterior of the car.

The new Ertiga is slightly longer and wider than the outgoing model but has a similar wheelbase. The car has a similar side profile, but features more prominent character lines. It has a new grille and front bumper and a new set of twin-pod headlamps. The old car has more prominent wheel arches. The window line is similar, but lacks a front quarter glass. The rear quarter glass is larger than the one on the outgoing model.

At the rear, the new Ertiga has a more sloping windshield compared to the old car's. The tail lamps are substantially larger than before. Also, these are L-shaped units unlike the wraparound ones of the old Ertiga. The new car also gets redesign alloy wheels.

The new Ertiga comes with beige interiors with faux wood trim in a satin finish. The dashboard has been redesigned and features a touchscreen infotainment system. The MPV comes with a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre. It has a centre armrest for the driver and front passenger seat, roof-mounted air-conditioner vents for rear passengers and a 12V socket at the rear. Checkout all the interior images here.

The new Ertiga will be offered with a 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine and a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre diesel unit. Both engines will be equipped with smart hybrid technology. A 5-speed manual transmission is expected to be offered as standard, while some petrol variants will come with an optional automatic gearbox.
