New car launches in India in June 2024

Here is a look at all the important car launches expected to take place in June 2024.

Tata Altroz Racer

Tata Motors has announced the launch date for the Altroz Racer. The sporty premium hatchback will go on sale in India on June 7, 2024. Bookings are already open.

The Altroz Racer will use a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon. It produces 118 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm @ 1,750-4,000 rpm and is likely to be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

New-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The upcoming Dzire will share its underpinnings with the next-gen Swift. While the overall shape of the car looks quite similar to the current model, it will get a reprofiled front grille and sweptback headlamps. It has a coupe-like roof line and a short rear section.

The new Dzire will be powered by Maruti Suzuki's new Z-series 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 BHP and 108 Nm. The same unit will be available in the new-gen Swift as well.

Maruti Alto K10, S-Presso & Celerio Dream Editions

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the limited edition Dream Series of the Alto K10, S-Presso and Celerio on June 4. The cars will be priced from Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open.

The limited edition Dream Series will be available during the month of June, but depending on the customer response, Maruti could extend the sale of these models beyond a month.

Nissan X-Trail

Nissan is gearing up to introduce the X-Trail in India in the coming months. The SUV is expected to be launched by June-July 2024.

The SUV will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) under the government policy, which allows the import of up to 2,500 vehicles per year without the need for homologation.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG Line

Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of the C 300 AMG Line. Priced at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant replaces the C 300d AMG Line in the C-Class lineup. It undercuts the BMW M340i by Rs 4 lakh.

The C 300 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine produces 254 BHP @ 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm @ 2,000-3,200 rpm, while the integrated starter generator (ISG) provides a boost of 27 BHP for around 30 seconds with the over-boost function.
