Mumbai hotelier roaming around during curfew detained

Mumbai Police have detained the owner of 'Koolar & Co' restaurant in Matunga, Mumbai for flouting lockdown rules during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

As per a video shared on YouTube, the hotelier was roaming freely during the lockdown. Further, he was using a siren on his car which is illegal. He was also caught on video making fun of the current situation. The same video was tweeted to the official Mumbai Police Twitter handle.

According to a tweet by the Mumbai Police, the said person was detained after following his vehicle and appropriate legal action had been initiated. A second video of him apologising and urging people to stay safe is also being circulated.
