More images: MG Gloster continues testing ahead of launch

An undisguised test mule of the MG Gloster has been spotted again in Gujarat.

The Gloster was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to be imported as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and assembled at MG's Halol plant. The SUV has already been teased on MG's official website.

The MG Gloster features a butch looking front end with a large chrome grille. The test car seen in these images is equipped with side steps, roof rails and is riding on dual-tone alloy wheels. It also gets quad-exhaust tips. On the inside, the SUV is likely to come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and 3-zone automatic climate control. It will get 3-rows of seats with heating, ventilation and massage function for the front seats.

The Gloster could be powered by an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 218 BHP and 480 Nm. The engine could be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The MG Gloster will be positioned above the Hector in the Indian market and is expected to compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4.
