Last month, we shared spy images of the XUV500 facelift that revealed details about its exterior. We now have some more information about its interior and features. Also, it is rumoured that Mahindra might launch the facelift around April 18, 2018.

According to the spy images, the new XUV500 will get a redesigned front end with a new chrome grille, twin-pod headlamps with LED DRLs and a new front bumper. The rear end gets a major makeover featuring a redesigned tailgate with triangular tail lamp clusters. Higher variants are expected to get new 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the SUV gets tan coloured upholstery and grey coloured soft touch dashboard plastics with leather finish on the sides. The infotainment system has been updated with more features, which might include connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, however it does not get a CD player.

Under the bonnet, the XUV500 facelift is likely to be offered with an updated 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 168 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. It has been reported that the engine makes a distinct growling sound at start. That said, Mahindra hasn't made any formal announcement regarding a new engine for the XUV500 facelift.
