MG ZS could get petrol & hybrid options

According to a Transport Department document, MG has imported the petrol and hybrid variants of the ZS in India. This suggests that the carmaker might offer these powertrain options in addition to an all-electric variant in India.

The MG ZS measures 4,314 mm in length, 1,809 mm in width, 1,620 in height and has a wheelbase of 2,580-2,589 mm. It is likely to get a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 105 BHP @ 6,000 rpm, while the hybrid variant could use a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 110 BHP @ 5,200 rpm.

The electric version of the ZS is expected to be launched in December 2019. It is likely to be powered by a 52.5 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a claimed range of 350-400 km on a single charge.
