MG Cyberster EV concept to enter production

MG Cyberster EV concept is confirmed to enter production soon. The company is said to have achieved its crowdfunding platform goals.

MG Motor has confirmed that its Cyberster electric sports car concept will enter production soon. The announcement was made via the company’s official social media site in China.

SAIC, the parent company of MG Motor has confirmed that the Cyberster received over 5000 registrations on its 'MG CyberCUBE' crowdfunding platform. The registrations also required the participants to transfer RMB 1000 (equivalent to US$ 154) as 'share' deposit. This will allow them to provide inputs during the development of the production version of the electric sports car.

While details of the production model are yet unknown, reports do suggest that MG will introduce the Cyberster in both left and right-hand drive markets.

MG had showcased some of the car's features on the concept model unveiled in April 2021. This included 'Magic Eye' LED headlamps, LED tail lights with the Union Jack flag design, 5G connectivity and 'Zero Gravity' seats, among many others.

MG also claims that the electric car has a max range of 800 km, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of under 3 seconds.
