Mercedes-AMG EQS EV spotted testing at Nurburgring

The AMG version of Mercedes-Benz flagship EV, the EQS has been spied for the first time. It is expected to be unveiled later this year.

Mercedes-Benz recently unveiled its flagship electric sedan, the EQS for global markets. According to media reports, the company is now said to be working on a more powerful AMG-version of the luxury EV sedan.

The Mercedes-AMG EQS EV has been spied testing. The performance variant of the EQS was seen going around the Nurburgring Nordschleife completely camouflaged. However, the spy images do reveal large ceramic disc with yellow calipers and a boot-integrated rear spoiler.

While the new AMG-version will be more powerful compared to the standard trims. Mercedes-Benz is yet to announce the details. However, reports do suggest that the EV could come with an electric powertrain capable of producing 715 BHP.

Reports also state that Mercedes-Benz has already trademarked the EQS 43, EQS 53 and EQS 63 names. The Mercedes-AMG EQS EV is expected to be unveil either later this year or in early-2022.
