Maruti Swift now gets SmartPlay Studio AVN

Maruti has silently updated the Swift, which now comes with the new 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment head-unit.

The SmartPlay system allows connectivity via Bluetooth, Aux-in, USB as well as gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Compared to the outgoing interface, it loses out on inbuilt navigation via pre-loaded maps. Instead, it now comes with navigation supported via connected smartphone.

The Swift is currently offered with a 1.2-litre engine that produces 82 BHP and 113 Nm and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. It was also rumoured that a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine could replace the existing 1.2-litre unit.
