Maruti Suzuki showcased the eVX electric SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2023. Now, an early prototype of the upcoming EV has been caught testing.
The camouflaged eVX electric SUV was spotted at a charging station in Krakow, Poland. The overall shape of the SUV looks similar to the concept. It has an upright front fascia with a blanked-off grille and L-shaped headlamps. It has flared wheel arches and C-pillar mounted rear door handles, while the rear features slim wraparound taillights and an integrated roof spoiler.
The interior of the eVX is unlike any other Maruti Suzuki we've seen in recent times. It has a squarish 2-spoke steering wheel with a free-standing digital display housing the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. The spy image also reveals a rotary drive mode selector.
According to Maruti Suzuki, the eVX will be based on a dedicated EV platform jointly developed with Toyota. The concept car was said to be powered by a 60 kWh battery pack offering a maximum range of around 550 km.
