Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift launched at Rs. 6 lakh ex-Delhi

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ertiga facelift at a starting price of Rs. 5,99,907/- for the base petrol and Rs. 7,55,826/- for the base diesel. Before we get to the details, here’s a look at the variant wise price list (all prices ex-showroom Delhi):

The 1.4L petrol engine is the same and makes 91 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm  of torque @ 4,000 rpm, but buyers can now choose between a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission (AT available in the Vxi trim only). The diesel engine too, remains unchanged and makes 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm. It is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The K14B petrol engine has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 17.5 km/l for the manual variant and 17.03 km/l for the automatic, while the DDiS 200 diesel, combined with the SHVS system from the Ciaz, delivers 24.52 km/l. The SHVS diesel gets features like idle start stop, torque assist, brake energy regeneration and a gear shift indicator (Click here to view a video on the SHVS system).

The feature list includes the SmartPlay infotainment system (including voice commands, MirrorLink smartphone connectivity and navigation), a new Bluetooth audio system, push button start with a smart key, a 2nd row accessory socket, power folding wing mirrors, a 50:50 split 3rd row seat, a different grade of fabric upholstery, reverse parking sensors and a reverse parking camera.

All variants get a driver airbag as standard. The front passenger airbag is offered as an optional extra on the base Lxi/Ldi variants, while the other variants get it as standard. ABS comes as standard on all models, but the base petrol, where it’s an optional extra.

Visually, the Ertiga facelift gets reworked headlamp internals, a new chrome front grille, a new front bumper with larger fog lamp enclosures and chrome accents, restyled alloy wheels, a large Ertiga branded chrome applique at the rear and an SHVS badge on the tailgate (diesel only). Colour options include radiant beige (new), pearl blue blaze (new), serene blue, granite grey, silky silver and superior white. Colours like firebrick red, ecru beige and dusky brown have been dropped.

Maruti has sold around 2.25 lakh units of the Ertiga in the domestic market and the model holds a market share of around 20% in the MPV segment.
