Maruti Ertiga Cross caught testing in India

A new version of the Maruti Ertiga MPV, which could be called the Ertiga Cross, has been spotted testing in India.

While the Ertiga Cross is expected to be based on the standard Ertiga, it is likely to get some cosmetic changes. The spy images suggest that the it might get a larger grille with a horizontal bar in the centre, new front bumper and revised headlamp clusters.

The car appears to have flared wheel arches and side skirts, a pair of roof rails and ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators. The rear looks identical to that of the Ertiga MPV and has the L-shaped tail lamp clusters. The multi-spoke alloy wheels on this test car are also identical to those offered on the MPV.

On the inside, the test vehicle appears to have captain seats in the second row. It is difficult to confirm from these spy images whether it has a third row of seats.

The emission testing apparatus mounted at the rear suggests that Maruti is likely to offer a BS-VI compliant engine in the Ertiga Cross.
