Malaysia: Postal service provider buys 553 Tata Xenons

POS Malaysia Berhad - Malaysia's postal service provider, has bought 553 Tata Xenon Single Cab 4x2 Pick-up trucks in order to complement its logistics business, especially for the Courier, Express and Parcel (CEP) pick-up and delivery services. The vehicles have a specially fabricated customised box body design.

Powering the Tata Xenon Single Cab 4x2 Pick-up is a 2.2-litre common rail turbo diesel engine that makes 138 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,700-2,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle has a service interval of 15,000 km. The trucks will be equipped with reverse cameras.

The Tata Xenon Single Cab 4x2 Pick-up truck is distributed by DRB-HICOM Commercial Vehicles (DHCV) in Malaysia. For the POS Malaysia project, the customised designed box body is fabricated by Oriental Summit Industries Sdn Bhd (OSI).
