Tata Xenon Yodha launched at Rs. 6.05 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Xenon Yodha pick-up in India. The Xenon Yodha is a facelift of the outgoing model and is available in 4x2 as well as 4x4 variants, and in single & double cab layouts. The single cab BSIII variant is priced at Rs. 6.05 lakh, while the single cab BSIV model is priced at Rs. 6.19 lakh.

The Xenon Yodha is powered by a 3.0-litre engine which develops 72 BHP and 223 Nm in the BSIII tune and 85 BHP and 250 Nm in the BSIV guise. The facelifted Xenon has a rated payload capacity of up to 1,250 kg. It rolls on 16-inch radial tyres, while the suspension has been updated with 5-leaves at the front & 9-leaves at the rear. It also gets anti-roll bars for enhanced on-road and off-road stability. The Xenon Yodha has a ground clearance of 210 mm.

Tata claims that the Xenon Yodha is built using a unique 3-layered body construction that minimizes cabin intrusion in case of a crash. Other safety related features include crumple zones, a collapsible steering column, retractable seatbelts and side intrusion beams.

The Xenon Yodha is equipped with an LFL propeller shaft which does not require greasing. The service interval of the pick-up has also been increased to 20,000 km. The new Xenon is further offered with a customized AMC package of 3 years / 1 lakh km (whichever is earlier) and a warranty of 3 years or 3,00,000 km (whichever is earlier).
