Tata Xenon facelift to be called Xenon Yodha, launch on Jan 3

Tata Motors will be launching the facelift of the Xenon on January 3, 2017. The facelifted model will now be called the Xenon Yodha. It will come with some cosmetic updates and is expected to house a new engine.

The Xenon facelift was earlier spotted alongside an old-gen Ford Ranger, which was probably being used as a benchmark vehicle. These spy shots had revealed that the Xenon facelift will come with an updated front bumper, a new front grille with chrome inserts and a new pair of taillights. The interiors are expected to remain similar to the current model, though Tata might offer a new infotainment system on the top-end trims.

On the powering front, the Xenon Yodha is expected to get the new 2.2-litre VARICOR400 engine, which is found in the Tata Safari Storme and the upcoming Tata Hexa. Official power and torque figures of this new engine in the Xenon facelift haven't been revealed yet. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will be offered as standard, while all-wheel drive will be available as an option on the top-end model.
