Mercedes-Maybach sold 10 cars every week in India in 2024

Mercedes-Maybach expects India to soon be among the top 5 countries worldwide in terms of sales.

Post-Covid, the luxury car segment has been witnessing strong demand in India. Mercedes-Benz is one of the biggest players in this segment. It offers ultra-exclusive models under its Maybach sub-brand.

Daniel Lescow, Global Head of Sales, Mercedes-Maybach, expects India to soon be among the top 5 countries worldwide in terms of sales. In 2024, Maybach sold 10 cars every week in India.

"Last year, we saw a growth of 145 % in our India sales as numbers crossed 500 cars, making it one of the fastest-growing countries for us globally," Lescow said.

"The numbers here are absolutely stunning. I am very optimistic, and there's a good growth potential here," Lescow added. "At the same time, we are working hard to increase the brand's awareness and deepen the understanding on our products. We are also building dedicated brand spaces for a broader experience of our products and the line of accessories."

Lescow said, "Increasingly a younger profile of individuals are looking into the brand. The average age of our customer here is just 38 years, while globally it is higher."
