Skoda has partnered with the Thanh Cong Group to set up a manufacturing facility in Vietnam. With the assembly line now operational, models like the Kushaq and Slavia will be built here using CKD kits imported from India.
Skoda’s Vietnam factory is located in the Quang Ninh province. It has a welding shop, a paint shop, a final assembly line, a quality control center, and a precision manufacturing facility. The facility also houses a 2 km test track.
The Kushaq is the first Skoda model to be assembled at the new facility. Production of the Slavia is set to commence later this year. Both cars will be left-hand drive and will come equipped with features such as adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.
Skoda also offers the Karoq and Kodiaq SUVs in Vietnam. These models are imported from Europe.
