Mahindra XUV500 W9 variant launched at Rs. 15.45 lakh

Mahindra has launched a new variant of the XUV500. The SUV is now available in W9 trim which costs Rs. 15.45 lakh while W9 AT is priced at Rs. 16.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The W9 variant comes equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is compatible with Android Auto and has an emergency call function and EcoSense which logs your driving data. Electric sunroof with anti-pinch is a part of the standard package. It gets keyless entry with engine start/stop button and tyre pressure monitoring. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and rollover mitigation. It also gets a reverse parking camera and static bending headlamps.

The 2,179cc, mHawk 140 diesel engine remains unchanged. It delivers 140 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm of torque @ 1,600-2,800 rpm. The W9 variant is offered with the choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. 

Compared to the top-spec W10 variant, this new variant does not get the optional all-wheel drive. It also misses out on features like logo projection lamps under ORVM, Connected Apps and brake energy regeneration.
