Thanks to BHPian RavenAvi for sharing this with other enthusiasts.

Mahindra has silently updated the official XUV500 website. The SUV will now be offered in W5, W7, W9 and W11(O) trims. An optional automatic transmission is available on the top three variants, but all-wheel drive is no longer available.

Features and specifications haven't changed from the BS4 version, except for the discontinuation of the entry-level W3 variant. The BS6 XUV500 is powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 153 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm @ 1,750-2,800 rpm. The engine is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Production of BS6 vehicles has been delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Also, prices for the new XUV500 could be announced after the lockdown is lifted.
