Mahindra has filed an application to trademark the name 'TUV300 Plus'. This will likely be the longer wheelbase version of the TUV300, which has been spotted testing on multiple occasions.

Apart from the stretched wheelbase, recent spy shots have revealed that Mahindra hasn't made any major changes to the TUV300's styling. The longer wheelbase will liberate more space inside the cabin and Mahindra will likely offer an optional front facing third row seat, in addition to the standard side facing seats currently available on the sub-4m model.

Currently, the sub-4m version of the TUV300 is offered with two engine options - mHawk 80 and mHawk 100. The engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with AMT as an option. The long-wheelbase TUV300 Plus will likely use the 1.5-litre, mHawk 100 turbocharged diesel engine which makes 100 BHP and 240 Nm of torque. Mahindra might also bring in the 2.2-litre unit from the Scorpio, though this is not yet confirmed.
