Luxury car sales in India expected to reach 1,300 units in 2024

According to a media report, the high-end luxury car segment in India is booming with rising wealth and a generational shift in mindset. There’s a growing demand for cars from brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Aston Martin.

In 2023, high-end car sales more than doubled to 1,000 units. This year, the segment is expected to grow further. As per industry experts, 1,200 to 1,300 luxury cars will be sold in India this year.

The report states that Lamborghini has already sold all the cars allocated for the Indian market. These include models like the Huracan, Revuelto and the Urus SUV. Other brands like Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren are also reporting strong demand for their products.

Relatively mainstream brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW are witnessing robust demand for their high-end offerings. Some models even have a waiting period stretching up to a year.
