Kia is celebrating a new milestone with sales of the Carens crossing the 2,00,000-unit mark. The Carens has emerged as one of the fastest-selling models in its segment, taking just 36 months to reach the milestone figure.
According to Kia, top variants account for 24% of the overall Carens sales. 58% of the customers opted for petrol variants, while 42% chose the diesel version. 32% of buyers opted for automatic and iMT variants, and 28% of the buyers opted for the variants with a sunroof. 95% of the total sales came from 7-seater models.
The Kia Carens is also exported to over 70 countries. The company has shipped 24,064 units to global markets.
Kia offers three engine options on the Carens: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, while transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.
