Kawasaki Z650RS revealed; India launch in 2022

The Z650RS will compete with the Triumph Street Twin and Honda CB650R.

Kawasaki has unveiled the new Z650RS street bike. The new neo-retro styled bike is based on the Z650 and is expected to be launched in India next year.

The Z650RS is based on a tubular steel trellis frame. It weighs 187 kg (kerb weight) and comes with a 12-litre fuel tank. The seat is set at 820 mm.

The Z650RS features a circular LED headlamp, a simple teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat seat. It has a twin-pod instrument cluster and an underslung exhaust.

The Z650RS is powered by a 649cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 67 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 68 Nm @ 6,700 rpm. The bike comes equipped with conventional telescopic forks at the front and has a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 300 mm discs at the front with a single 200 mm rotor at the rear. It comes with ABS as standard.
