Jeep Meridian facelift bookings open in India; gets 5-seater option

The updated Meridian might also get Level 2 ADAS and additional connected car tech.

Jeep India has opened its order books for the Meridian facelift. Customers can book the SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000.

The Jeep Meridian facelift is likely to receive mild cosmetic updates, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, reprofiled headlamps and new design 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior will be similar to the current model but might get new seat upholstery and trim. The SUV will come in 5- and 7-seater configurations.

The updated Meridian will be equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging, among other features. Reports suggest that the SUV might also get Level 2 ADAS and additional connected car tech.

The Meridian will retain the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, which puts out 168 BHP and 350 Nm. It will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission and optional 4-wheel drive.
