Japanese Suzuki Alto spotted testing in India

The 2015 Suzuki Alto, which was launched in Japan in December 2014, has been spotted testing in India. It is being speculated that Maruti Suzuki might be considering it for the Indian market.

The Alto sports a 658 cc petrol engine, which produces 48 bhp. The engine is also available with a Variable Valve Timing system, which enables it to put out 51 bhp. The car comes with a choice of a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

The Alto has boxy styling with a flat front fascia with large headlamps, a grille with 4 vertical slats, an air-dam with 3 horizontal slats and tail lamps integrated in the rear bumper. In the images, it is seen with steel rims and black ORVMs. The car has a 5-door, 4-seater configuration. It measures 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width and 1,475-1,500 mm in height.

A report by Gaadiwaadi claims that the Alto will be displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo.
