Indonesia: Toyota releases teaser image of next-gen Innova

The next-generation Toyota Innova will make its debut on November 23, 2015. With just weeks to go before the debut, Toyota has released a teaser image of the vehicle.

The new Innova gets a restyled front end with new projector headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, redesigned grille, new bumper with a wide air dam and round fog lamps and a flatter bonnet. The styling is in line with some of the new products from the Toyota stable.

Previous spy shots have indicated that at the rear, the new Innova gets a new tailgate with a spoiler, restyled windshield, redesigned bumper and new tail lamps that stretch horizontally across the tail gate. The rear wheel arches are pronounced and the glass design for the third row has changed as well.

In international markets, the new Innova is expected to come in G (base), V (mid) and Q (top) variants. It is likely to come with a choice of two engines and 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions:

2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol, 137 BHP @ 5,600 rpm, 183 Nm @ 4,000 rpm

2.4-litre, 4-cylinder diesel, 147 BHP @ 3,400 rpm, 359 Nm @ 1,200-2,600 rpm (AT), 342 Nm @ 1,200-2,600 rpm (MT)

Toyota is expected to launch the Innova in India next year. It is expected to be priced higher than the current model.
