Indian Roadmaster Elite launched at Rs. 48 lakh

Indian Motorcycle has launched its Roadmaster Elite model in India. The bike is priced at Rs. 48 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Roadmaster range includes three variants - base, Classic and Elite. The bike is based on a cast aluminium frame and measures 2,676 mm in overall length, 1,000 mm in width and 1,481 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,668 mm and the seat height is 673.1 mm. It has a 20.8-litre fuel tank and with fuel and other fluids on board, the Roadmaster Elite weighs 433 kg.

The Roadmaster Elite is finished in a dual-tone paint scheme with chrome detailing and 23-carat gold leaf lettering. It has a large front cowl with an adjustable windscreen. It houses a circular LED headlamp flanked by position lights as well as a twin-pod instrument cluster with a 7.0-inch touchscreen in the centre and speakers on either side. The front fender is also finished in dual-tone and has chrome highlights. It features heated leather seats with backrest and waterproof panniers and trunk offering 137 litres of storage. The bike rides on 119 mm cartridge type telescopic front forks and a 114 mm adjustable monoshocks in the rear.

The Roadmaster Elite is powered by a 1,811 cc, twin-cylinder engine that delivers a peak torque of 150 Nm @ 2,900 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Brakes come in the form of twin 300 mm discs with 4 piston calipers in the front and a single 300 mm disc with a 2-piston caliper in the rear. ABS is offered as standard. The bike rides on 16-inch alloy wheels shod with 130/90 and 180/60 section Dunlop Elite 3 tyres in the front and rear respectively.

Some of the standard features offered on Roadmaster Elite include cruise control, keyless ignition, remote locking, tyre pressure monitoring, navigation, 300 watt stereo with AM/FM, Bluetooth, USB and Smartphone compatibility, heated grips and adjustable floorboards.
