Hyundai rejigs Venue variant line-up; 5 trims discontinued

The Venue line-up gains two new variants - S (O) and SX (O) Executive.

According to a leaked document, Hyundai has updated the variant line-up of the Venue. While some petrol and diesel trims have been discontinued, a couple of new variants have been added.

A total of 5 variants including the E, S and SX (O) have been discontinued. The E 1.5L Diesel 6MT has been taken off the shelves along with S 1.0L Petrol 7DCT and iMT as well as SX (O) 1.2L Petrol 6MT.

The Venue line-up gains two new variants - S (O) and SX (O) Executive. While the former is available with the 1.0L Petrol iMT, 7DCT and 1.5L Diesel 6MT, the SX (O) Executive variant is only offered with the 1.5L Diesel engine.

Further, it has been reported that the SX variant will now be offered with styled steel wheels instead of alloys.

The Hyundai Venue was launched back in 2019. The crossover is available with three engine options - a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 118 BHP / 172 Nm which is paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 82 BHP / 115 Nm and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.5-litre diesel unit that puts out 89 BHP / 220 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
