Hyundai Aura engine options revealed

Hyundai has revealed details of the engines that will be offered on its upcoming Aura compact sedan.

The Aura will get two petrol and a diesel engine option. These include a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. The diesel option will be a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder motor. This engine is equipped with a Lean NOx Trap (LNT) which will help it comply with BS6 norms.

Hyundai has also revealed the transmission options that will be offered on the Aura. The 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines will get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while an AMT will be available as an option. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will also come with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
