Hyosung GD250R spotted in India

The Hyosung GD250R motorcycle has been spotted in India. It is one of the three bikes that DSK-Hyosung is planning to launch in the country this year.

The GD250R is the faired version of the naked GD250N that was displayed by Hyosung at the 2014 Auto Expo. The bike is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, petrol engine that is capable of producing 27.6 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 24.17 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Stopping power is provided by a single 300 mm disc brake and 230 mm disc brake at the front and rear respectively.

The bike has a trellis frame with an upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 and 150/60 section tyres at the front and rear respectively. The GD250R has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres and a dry weight of 138 kg.

Some of the features include dual projector headlamps, an underbelly exhaust a large windshield, split seats and digital instrumentation.

DSK-Hyosung plans to assemble the GD250R at its facility in Wai, Maharashtra.
