Honda Mobilio spied on Indian roads ahead of July launch

The Honda Mobilio has been spotted on Indian roads for the first time. Pictures put up on the internet show the diesel version of car in the top-of-the-line V trim without any camouflage or registration plate.

The Mobilio, which is based on the Brio hatchback, is a 7-seater MPV. The car is 4386 mm long, 1683 mm wide and 1603 mm high.

The Mobilio will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is likely to get a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-Vtec engine that develops 117 bhp @ 6600 rpm and 145 Nm of Torque @ 4600 rpm. The diesel version of the car is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-DTec motor that produces 98 bhp @ 3600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1750 rpm.

The Mobilio made its debut in India at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. The company began test production of the MPV at its Greater Noida plant in April. The launch of the car is expected to take place in July.
