Honda displays Mobilio in malls; bookings open in some cities

Honda Cars India recently released pictures of the upcoming Mobilio MPV on its website. The company has also kicked off a campaign in which it is displaying the vehicle at various shopping malls across the country for potential customers to get a closer look at the car.

The campaign was started on June 14 and will run till August 24, 2014. It will cover major cities such as Delhi and NCR, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bangalore, Kochi, Kolkata, Surat, Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Pune and Chennai. Honda is scheduled to launch the Mobilio next month and will pit the MPV against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is likely to get a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-Vtec engine that develops 117 bhp @ 6600 rpm and 145 Nm of Torque @ 4600 rpm. The diesel version of the car is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder i-DTec motor that produces 98 bhp @ 3600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1750 rpm.

A report by cardehko.com claims that Honda dealerships in select cities like Delhi and Jaipur have started accepting bookings for the Mobilio. A sum of Rs. 51,000 has to be paid as the booking amount for the MPV.
