Honda is gearing up to launch two new 650cc bikes in India. The latest teasers suggest that the bike maker is likely to introduce the CBR650R and CB650R soon.
The Honda CBR650R and CB650R are expected to feature Honda’s E-Clutch, which enables clutchless gear changes. Both bikes are powered by a 648cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 94 BHP @ 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm @ 9,500 rpm.
The E-Clutch eliminates the need to use the clutch while shifting or when coming to a halt. Riders can tweak the shift feel by selecting between Soft, Medium and Hard settings. The system also alerts the rider to downshift to an optimal gear depending on the speed.
The CBR650R is a fully-faired sports bike, while the CB650R is a naked streetfighter. Both bikes will be sold via Honda’s BigWing dealerships.
