Hero Karizma R, ZMR prices revealed

Hero MotorCorp displayed the facelifted Karizma R and ZMR motorcycles at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in February this year. Both motorcycles have been given cosmetic changes in a bid to keep them up to date which include, vertically placed twin headlights, split seats, clip-on handlebars and new exhaust canister.

Both the bikes continue with the same 223 cc, single-cylinder engines as their predecessors. However, they now produce more power and torque. The carburetted engine of the R now develops 19.2 PS and 19.35 Nm of torque, a gain of 2 PS and 1 Nm over the old R. The fuel-injected unit of the ZMR now develops 20 PS and 19.7 Nm of torque. Both the bikes will use a 5-speed gearbox.

Prices of the two models have been revealed and dealerships are accepting bookings, which means that their launch will not be too far away.
