Hero Dash scooter spotted with production-ready body

Hero MotoCorp's upcoming scooter has been spotted testing once again, this time with production-ready body.

The Dash was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The scooter has a handlebar-mounted headlamp, indicators on the front apron, a telescopic fork front suspension and a 6-litre fuel tank with an external fuel lid located above the tail lamp.

The Dash is expected to come in two trim levels - LX and VX. The range-topping VX variant is likely to get a tri-colour theme and black alloy wheels, dual colour mirrors, grey silencer cover and a power outlet to charge a mobile phone, analogue-digital instrument cluster with low fuel, service, and side stand indicators and illuminated under-seat storage.

According to a report by Gaadiwaadi, Hero has codenamed the scooter "AAWA". When it goes on sale, it is likely to name it Duet or Specter.

Hero is likely to position the Dash at the top of its scooter line-up. It will target the market-leading Honda Activa.
