Gujarat RoRo ferry up for sale

According to a media report, one of the RoRo ferries that was operating between Ghogha and Dahej in Gujarat has been put up for sale.

It has been reported that ferry operations have been halted for an indefinite period since September 23, 2019, due to high accumulation of silt at the Dahej terminal.

According to the ferry operator, the suspension of services is costing Rs. 40 lakh per month in losses. As a result, the operator is unable to pay the loan installments. The company has therefore decided to sell the smaller vessel to cover the loss.

The ferry service was inaugurated in October 2017 and was operated by Indigo Seaways.
