Ford US President Raj Nair ousted for inappropriate behaviour

Raj Nair, President of Ford North America has quit from his post following an internal investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour.

In an official announcement, Ford revealed that the review determined that Nair's behaviour was inconsistent with the company's code of conduct. Ford didn't give any more details and neither did the statement mention who would replace Nair. However, Ford has confirmed that an announcement regarding this would be made in the near future.

Nair has been part of Ford for several decades. He has been the head of Ford's global product development and the chief technical officer. Since June 2017, he was heading Ford's North American division.

Jim Hackett, CEO of Ford Motor Company said in a statement that the decision was made after a thorough review and careful consideration. Raj Nair, in his response said that he regretted that there had been instances where he had not exhibited leadership behaviours consistent with the principles of the company.
