Ford replacing problematic MRF tyres on Figo and Aspire

Thanks to BHPian blackbandit and Prashanth Murthy for sharing this information with other enthusiasts!

Ford is reportedly replacing problematic MRF tyres on the Figo and Aspire free of cost. After receiving complaints of excessive tyre noise, Cauvery Ford, Mangalore has been replacing the factory-fitted MRF tyres with Michelin XM2s or Goodyear GT3s. That said, only cars that have run less than 10,000 km are eligible for the free replacement. Customers who already have Goodyear or Michelin tyres fitted on their vehicles are unlikely to get free replacement.

If your Ford Figo or Aspire is running on MRF tyres and has less than 10,000 km on the odometer, you should be able to get the tyres replaced free of cost. If the odometer reading is between 10,000 and 20,000 km, the owner will have to pay 25 percent of the cost of the new tyres to get replacements. Both - the Figo and Aspire ride on 14-inch wheels shod with 175/65 section tyres.

Ford has not issued an official notification about the tyre swaps.
