Ford Endeavour Sport spied; Toyota Fortuner TRD rival?

Spy images of the Ford Endeavour Sport have surfaced online. The new variant could rival the Toyota Fortuner TRD.

Besides the Sport badge on the tail gate, the new variant looks identical to the regular Endeavour. It appears to have a black strip between the tail lights and black trim on the rear bumper. The test vehicle also has side steps and appears to be riding on black alloy wheels.

In addition to the cosmetic changes, the Endeavour Sport could also get a few interior updates over the regular model.

The Endeavour is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It is rated at 168 BHP @ 3,500 rpm and 420 Nm @ 2,000-2,500 rpm and paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. At present, all-wheel drive is only available in the top-spec Titanium+ trim.

The Toyota Fortuner TRD Limited Edition was launched in August 2020. It is priced from Rs. 34.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 175 BHP @ 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm @ 1,600-2,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission which comes with paddle shifters.
