Ford Eluminator electric crate motor teased ahead of unveil

The electric crate motor from Ford will allow enthusiasts to convert their internal combustion project cars to fully electric vehicles.

Ford Performance has released teaser images of its new electric crate motor, called the Eluminator. Along with the teaser images, Ford also confirmed that the new electric crate motor developed by its Performance division will be unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, USA, scheduled in November 2021.

While Ford hasn't released any details or specifications of its electric crate motor, it has mentioned that the Eluminator will measure 570 mm in length. The electric crate motor from Ford will allow enthusiasts to convert their internal combustion project cars to fully electric vehicles.

The name 'Eluminator' is said to be inspired by the Aluminator title, used by Ford for its aluminium V8 crate engines. The Ford Eluminator electric crate motor is said to compete against the likes of Chevrolet's eCrate.
