Ferrari Purosangue SUV officially teased for the first time

The Ferrari Purosangue SUV will rival the Lamobrghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX & Bentley Bentayga.

Ferrari has been working on its first-ever SUV for quite a while now. The Ferrari SUV has also been spied undergoing testing on multiple occasions. Now, the Italian supercar brand has released the first official teaser of the upcoming SUV, to be called Purosangue. The upcoming Ferrari Purosangue will be a four-door SUV and is scheduled to be unveiled later this year.

In terms of design, the teaser image showcases very few details, however, it does reveal the split headlamp setup inspired by the SF90 supercar. The image also showcases a muscular bonnet, large air intakes on the front bumpers and slim LED DRLs at the centre. Earlier this year, a few images had leaked online, which revealed the exterior of the Purosangue.

Ferrari is yet to confirm the powertrain specifications on the upcoming Purosangue. However, the SUV is most likely expected to get either the 296GTB's twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor, producing 819 BHP or the hybrid twin-turbo V8 from the SF90 Stradale churning out 1000 BHP. Having said that, even the 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 from the brand's 812 Superfast is said to be under consideration.
