5000+ km / 6+ months update:
The Comet has been my daily driver. It's used pretty much every day, for the weekday office commute, weekend outings, and just random relaxing long drives as well.
It's a headturner, still. People stop to look at it, check it out. Ask questions. Didn't realise how nice that'd feel, even after all this time
Satisfied with the range. I go upto ~150km @ 25% (aka 2km/%) typically before charging. However, when driven sedately, the range definitely increases, getting close to the claimed 230km.
The best range I've gotten so far. 202.6km from a 100% full charge. It started dropping quicker after 15%, before that it was adding up to over 230! Mostly driven without AC, although from my experience at least during winters that isn't making a difference. Haven't and will not be trying that in the summer heat here.
I haven't owned a turbo petrol myself, but from what I've read in the reviews - this feels the same. Drive it sedately, and you'll get great range. Pedal to the metal often, and you'll see a drop. Anytime the energy usage of the car is high and stays high for a while, the range starts dropping. I can still manage close to 2km/% with that, but nothing of this nature.
Since I own a base model, I really missed the Android Auto / Apple Carplay convenience. Solved that by getting https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CGTSWPNX
The size fits in very nicely. Yet to install the reverse camera because the instructions say to wire it to the reversing light, which I'd be skeptical of doing to any car, let alone an EV. Planning to figure out some alternative, by having a manually activated switch when I get some time. Don't need the camera always anyways with a car this maneuverable.
The back seats don't see as much usage, however when they do, once you're in it's very comfortable. It's the getting in and especially out that's challenging, especially without a handle or side step.
A side step would be a funky and somewhat out of place but cool accessory I think. Maybe it's available in one of the other various markets this car is sold in?
The cargo storage space with the seats down is also great. Easy flat loading area, and tons and tons of space. Great for airport runs as long as it's only 1 person, or 2 and you're parking the car
Another plus is the high seating position. The tallboy stance makes it as high as many sub-4m or even 4.3m SUVS, making it a very commanding view.
It's a joy to drive in traffic, and even on open highway roads (haven't done any actual highway trips, just driving on highways close to the city).
Overall, I'd definitely recommend the comet as a second / third car in the household. (funnily enough, it's my only car, but that's intentional and temporary)
