Ducati Multistrada V4 RS launched at Rs 38.41 lakh

The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is a road-biased high-performance tourer that competes with the BMW M 1000 XR.

Ducati has launched its most powerful ADV, the Multistrada V4 RS, in India. It costs Rs 38,40,600 (ex-showroom), and deliveries will begin in early September.

The Multistrada V4 RS is an adventure bike, powered by an engine from the Panigale V4 superbike. It uses a 1,103cc V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine that puts out 180 BHP @ 12,250 rpm and 118 Nm @ 9,500 rpm.

The V4 RS is more road-biased and is lighter than the standard Multistrada, thanks to the use of titanium and carbon fibre. The titanium subframe is 2.5 kg lighter, while the Marchesini forged aluminium wheels are 2.7 kg lighter than those on the V4 S. A smaller battery helps save 3 kg compared to the V4 Pikes Peak.

The Multistrada V4 RS is equipped with electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension at the front and rear. Braking is handled by twin 330 mm discs at the front and a single 265 mm disc at the rear.

The bike comes with four power modes: Full, High, Medium and Low, and four riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring and Urban. It has traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control and an Akrapovic exhaust.
