DSK-Benelli India head buys country’s first MV Agusta F4 RR

Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman of DSK-Benelli has just got his hands on the first MV Agusta F4 RR in India. The F4 RR is the range topping model of MV Agusta's F4 line-up and is priced at Rs. 35.50 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).

The F4 RR is powered by a 998cc, in-line four-cylinder, 16-valve engine that makes 198 BHP @ 13,600 rpm and 111 Nm of torque @ 9,600 rpm. The grunt is channeled to the rear-wheel through a six-speed gearbox and the F4 RR is capable of hitting a top speed of 297.5 km/h.

Built on a CrMo steel tubular trellis frame and wrapped in a thermoplastic fairing, the F4 RR gets Ohlins hydraulic upside-down front forks that can be electronically adjusted, while at the rear, it gets an Ohlins TTx monoshock absorber that is also electronically adjustable.

Stopping power comes from dual 320 mm floating disc brakes with a Brembo monoblock 4-piston caliper at the front and a single 210 mm disc at the rear with a Nissin 4-piston caliper. The stopping power is aided by Bosch's 9 Plus ABS system with race mode and rear wheel lift-up mitigation. The superbike also gets 8-levels of traction control with a lean-angle sensor as well.
