Dodge to launch 'world's first electric muscle car' in 2024

The upcoming Dodge electric muscle car will be underpinned by Stellantis' new 'STLA Large' platform.

American car manufacturer Dodge has announced that it will roll out its first electric vehicle in 2024. Recently, the company released a teaser for its upcoming EV, claiming it to be the 'world's first battery-electric muscle car'.

While the teaser video doesn't reveal much, it does give us glimpses of the upcoming vehicle. which has a long bonnet, LED lighting all around and large alloy wheels. The silhouette in the teasers also seems to point towards the EV being a possible replacement for either the brand's Charger or Challenger models.

Dodge's parent company, Stellantis also revealed that it will introduce 4 new BEV platforms in the future. The upcoming Dodge electric muscle car is said to be underpinned by the 'STLA Large' platform, offering AWD and a claimed range of 800 km on a single charge.

Stellantis also claims that the new platform will allow the EV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 2 seconds. It is also expected to come with fast-charging function.
